Among the many applicants who applied to be on the June Cover of The Campus Lady Magazine, Sharon Ngeso's interview was one of the few that were outstanding. The Kenyatta University student who enjoys modeling and writing shared her dream of a healthy university student. Read on.

Please tell us briefly about yourself. 
I am Ngeso Sharon, a 20yrs old third year student at Kenyatta University pursuing a Bachelors Degree in Microbiology.

What does the term 'healthy university student mean to you? 

A healthy university student is one with healthy cells, normal, natural, desirable and of satisfactory size.

What is your fashion statement?
 
Fashion is an art of personal self - expression. Not an excuse to be pretty  popular and charismatic. It's about owning whatever you are wearing regardless if it's of high or not.

How can beauty be used to enhance the health status of a university student?
 
Coming up with some health educative programs where students are made aware of their health status especially on cervical cancer HIV and STIs which are the most prevalent in the community. Having volunteers friends who have suffered health issues in the university to help in educating others and improve theirs.

If given an opportunity, what would you do to enhance the health of university students in Kenya?
 
I would Link up with health promoters well wishers health units, to assist in providing cheap drugs and treatment, frequent health awareness activities, talks of diet diseases and lifestyle.

Why Should you be on the Cover of the June Edition of The Campus Lady Magazine?

I am beautiful. Beauty is apart of health and discipline so practically we engage and promote health from beauty. Health comes from good hygiene and a healthy person is beautiful.

What are your pastime activities?

I love Modeling, Writing articles, Reading magazines and novels, Swimming and Photography

What message do you have for your friends who read The Campus Lady Magazine?

They should continue reading the magazine to be informed about ladies need, lifestyle and what we ladies often understand. They should promote talent by reading the magazine.

Do what you love don't let anything stop you, no matter what it takes do what makes you happy. Work to achieve your goals don't dream of them.

Nivea: My name is Nivea Debra Amondi. I'm a 20 year old who loves modelling, dancing,singing,cooking and socialising.


@TCL_Mag: What is your fashion statement?

Nivea:  My fashion statement is 'elegance is the only beauty that never fades'

@TCL_Mag: How do you contribute to the Fashion industry?

Nivea: I own a modelling agency which I started a year back, Isyko Modelling Agency,I'm a Mtindo Africa Model and currently a Ms Maseno contestant.

@TCL_Mag: Nivea Debra is....

Nivea:  I'm a humble, hardworking, loving,beautiful, eloquent and outgoing lady of class.
Discipline is my stronghold.

@TCL_Mag: Who is your fashion role model?

Nivea: My fashion role model is Evelyn Njambi, Ms World Kenya Kiambu County,also my trainer.

@TCL_Mag: What contribution would you bring to the Campus Community as a Campus Lady Magazine Ambassador?

Nivea: As The Campus Lady Ambassador, I would empower my fellow campus ladies to identify  their talents and abilities  and work towards them by creating the right platform they need such as workshops that talk about the talent industry and the professional world. 

@TCL_Mag: Why should you be on The Campus Lady Magazine's Cover?

Nivea: I feel I should be on the April Cover because April is my favorite, my birthday  month and its the month I really want to sell out my brand and ideas.

@TCL_Mag: Who is Winnie Okal?
Winnie: My name is Winfred Achieng Okal from Kisumu County. I am 21 years old a student and a model. As a student I cleared form four in 2012 at Kedowa Girls Secondary School and got a mean grade of B minus.
@TCL_Mag: Where do you currently study?
Winnie: Currently, I am planning to join Kenya Institute of Management to pursue Diploma in Human Resource Management.
@TCL_Mag: Tell us about your Modeling Career
Winnie: As a model, I have featured in many high fashion shows and some beauty pageants. I have worked with Delan Modeling Agency and we have had a number of events. Currently I am working with Elegant Modeling Agency and through this I have involved myself in numerous activities including a visit to Maisha Orphanage where we made lunch and shared with the orphans and the widows there.
@TCL_Mag: What are your hobbies?
Winnie: I love travelling, swimming, socializing, reading inspiration quotes and doing community works among others.
@TCL_Mag: What’s your Fashion statement?
Winnie: I always love fashion because it defines me as a person. Everything I choose to wear or put on gives me a style that is unique. I love high fashion modeling and that has made me participate in major fashion events including Kisumu Week and Delan Modeling Agency Fashion Show.
@TCL_Mag: Do you think you can be a boss lady?
Winnie: I always view myself as a boss lady because am a go getter. Whatever I want, I always put a lot of effort to get it. I believe with my spirit I can encourage other people to have self-belief.
@TCL_Mag: Who is your Fashion Role model?
Winnie: My main fashion role model is Naomy Campbell. I always love her natural modeling ability and her spirit of trying various things apart from modeling such as singing, acting and venturing in variety of businesses.
@TCL_Mag: What would you do as The Campus Lady Magazine Ambassador?

Winnie: If I become The Campus Lady Ambassador I Will engage in a variety of events, activities and offer a voice to important discussions. I'll also encourage others to participate in various community activities in one way or the other. I'll organize events that would allow the campus community to come together in various ways.
